As of the 25th of November 2016, not only Atlanticlux Lebensversicherung S.A., headquartered in Luxembourg, but also Skandia Lebensversicherung Österreich AG and all other 23 companies of former FWU Group are unified under the new umbrella brand FWU – Forward You. This new brand appearance is intended to represent the characteristics distribution partners and clients have benefitted from for many years: focus on technology and investment.
Both Atlanticlux and Skandia Austria are known to be specialists in unit-linked life insurance products. The success of both companies is based on a strong service orientation and tailor-made IT solutions for distribution partners and their end clients. FWU has taken its fast internal and external growth as a reason to unify and redefine its brand strategy. The new group-wide brand name FWU Forward You expresses the commitment of all FWU companies to further focus on proximity to clients and distribution.
Today, FWU, including all acquisitions, has a client portfolio of 450.000 clients worldwide, assets under management of three billion euro as well as total contributions of more than 12 billion euro. The company is currently operating in 12 countries in Europe as well as the Middle- and Far East.
The rebranding of FWU Group is also marking the restructuring of our investment approach. The defining characteristics of this new approach are a risk profiling of every single client, a technical risk control of the underlying investment strategies, a legal obligation of the life insurance company to adhere to these risk parameters and finally a globally oriented opportunity management based on complex quantitative models.
At the same time, FWU is continuing the holistic digitalization process which is the foundation for our success over the last decades. In parallel, a new product generation will be released in the beginning of 2017.
